Pancakes to celebrate
Yesterday was our launch so I made pancakes to celebrate. They aren’t that difficult to make. All you need is a good non-stick pan. I prefer mini pancakes but you can choose the size.
ingredients for 10-12 mini pancakes
- 150 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 teaspoons sprinkling water
- 1 egg
- 200 ml milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- a pinch of salt
- one bag of vanilla sugar
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- butter for the pan
- 1 piece of JACQUES Matinette dark chocolate thins 128gr
- 1 tablespoon milk
In a separate bowl whisk together 1 egg, 200 ml milk and 3 tablespoons of melted butter. Stir until smooth. In another bowl sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Now gently add, while stirring, the liquid mixture to the dry mixture until the batter seems smooth. Don’t forget to add sprinkling water.
Make sure your pan is really hot before baking. Add 1 or 2 tablespoons of butter so the pan is greased. I used 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. The small cup makes it easier to form a round shape. You can also go nuts and make other designs with the batter: hearts, stars, a flower,…
You’ll know when the pancakes are ready to turn when there are tiny bubbles on top of the pancake and the edges are a little dry. Turn them and brown the other side.
I made a quick and easy chocolate sauce using one piece of Jaques Matinette dark chocolate and a tablespoon of milk. Break the chocolate in small pieces and put it in a bowl. Add milk and put it in the micowave (600w) for 30 to 50 seconds until the chocolate is melted. Stir it with a spoon until you get a smooth texture.
